The world of Wistoria: Wand and Sword

In this kingdom, social standing is built almost entirely on magic. Those without it, like Will Serfort, are reduced to barely-tolerated curiosities β€” when they aren't openly despised.

Rigarden Academy trains the kingdom's future magical elite every year, ranking students through a credit system based on their magical and academic performance. That's where Will fights for his place, sword in hand.

At the top of this hierarchy stands the title of Magia Vander: five supreme mages, each leading an elemental faction (Ice, Fire, Lightning, Light...), ruling from the top of the Mercedes Caulis tower. Elfaria Albis Serfort, Will's childhood friend, became the youngest person in history to reach that rank.

Will, meanwhile, has secretly developed a unique ability called Wis: the power to absorb an ally's or an enemy's magic and channel it into his blade. A power found in no Rigarden textbook β€” one that might just redefine what it means to be a mage.

"They are called... the harsh generation."
